Zero Tolerance

At our practice, we uphold the NHS Zero Tolerance Policy to protect our staff and patients from any form of abuse, aggression, or violence. Everyone deserves a safe and respectful healthcare environment.

Our Expectations
- Our staff have the right to work without fear of harm or mistreatment.
- We understand that illness can sometimes affect behavior, and we will always listen and respond with fairness.
- However, verbal abuse, threats, or physical aggression will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
- First incident: Recorded in your file.
- Second incident: Formal warning issued.
- Third incident: Possible removal from the practice.
- Severe cases (violence, threats): Immediate removal and police involvement.

Removal from the Practice
- Ending a patient’s registration is always a last resort, taken only when trust and safety cannot be maintained.
- If removed, you will need to register with another GP—except in extreme cases (e.g., violence requiring police action).

Household Members
- In rare cases, if one patient’s behavior risks staff safety, we may also need to remove other household members. This ensures our team can provide care without fear.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a positive and secure environment for all.
