Weight Management & Healthy Living Support

If you’re looking for guidance on weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, our Weight Management Clinic can help. We offer tailored advice and support to help you achieve your goals.

There are several options available, and your GP can help determine the best approach for you during a consultation. One great option is our Health Trainers, who provide 1:1 sessions to support healthy eating, weight management, and increasing physical activity.

Why Waist Size Matters
While BMI (Body Mass Index) is a useful measure of healthy weight for height, it doesn’t tell the full story. Where your body stores fat—especially around the waist—can impact your health.

- Excess tummy fat (rather than hip/thigh fat) increases the risk of diabetes and heart problems.
- A healthy waist size is:
- Men: Less than 94cm (37 inches)
- Women: Less than 80cm (32 inches)

Losing weight and keeping it off can be challenging, but even small, sustainable changes can make a big difference.
